One of the largest of the entire coveted Morpho family, Morpho phanodemus is also one of the most unique. Large swaths of deep brown to black are almost entirely absent in the males of other Morpho species, but are a distinguishing characteristic in this one. Phanodemus is one of the most delicate of all butterflies, so pristine specimens are extremely difficult to capture. However, with improvements in our processes, I am finally able to offer truly pristine specimens of this most majestic butterfly.
