CARE AND LIGHTING

Though in most cases the lighting conditions for the images in this catalogue are
optimal, there has been no editing to alter or enhance the color or iridescence of the insects used.

Experiment with the lighting in your own home or workspace to achieve the desired results. You will find that in some species (such as Morpho Butterflies) a low watt direct spotlight will cause the piece to fairly radiate its own luminescence. In others (such as the Mosaics) a wall generously lit in natural ambient light will bring out each specimen’s true brilliance.

None of the insects used in Form and Pheromone pieces should be exposed to direct
sunlight. High levels of humidity, such as in a steamy bathroom, and extremes in temperature should also be avoided.
