The insects that comprise Dolce are actually not beetles at all but are brightly adorned pests known as shield bugs.

The pastels of the African species punctuated by the iridescence of the Asian species create a firestorm of color reminiscent of a dish of hard candy or a traffic jam of tiny Hotwheels.
