The medium Elegans was the original (as is suggested by the scientific name of the species used: Anaplophora elegans).

It is a less common Thai species with gentle hues of sky-blue and metallic blue to black.

I’m not often fond of the choices taxonomists make in naming creatures, but elegans surely captures the essence of this colorful longhorn.
