The metalmark butterflies of South America have an allure similar to the small blues of Southeast Asia. Their intricate, bold pattern almost seems oversized for such a small
delicate butterfly.

They also present, however, similar challenges of first, finding specimens of such a fragile butterfly in pristine condition and then
in working “in miniature”. As such, it is a piece that is available in limited numbers.
