This is an uncommon species of Damselfly appears to be a small replica of the largest of all Odonata---the Helicopter Damselfly.

It inhabits some of the same habitat, nevertheless is not as closely related as it appears to be.

This species is considerably larger than the Asian species used in Damselfly Drift, and for such a delicate and fragile insect,
composes a rather bold and stately piece.
