Generally thought of as the heaviest beetles in the world, Goliath Beetles are nearly four inches long and a favorite of insect collectors and naturalists everywhere. Several additional color forms and subspecies are found throughout most of tropical Africa.

Tightly-packed minute hairs give the Goliath beetle a uniquely velvety appearance. Strictly vegetarian and quite harmless, the Goliath is nonetheless enormously strong.
