This gorgeous butterfly varies widely in coloration from specimen to specimen, but always boasts beautiful blues and greens that seem to have been applied by airbrush. It also has the tell-tale peacock "eyes" indicative of Gloss Swallowtails.

This species has two seasons of emergence: in the spring and in the summer. As the spring forms are always significantly smaller,
the summer form is used. Wingspan will commonly be over 4 inches.
