MORPHO DIDIUS
(SL-17)

Peru

11x14 inches

Because of the unique nature of their structural coloration, Morpho butterflies are remarkably colorfast. Many specimens in museum
collections that are well over 100 years old, still retain their original brilliance.

They are particularly striking when illuminated by spots or directional lights and larger pieces can be easily used as the featured focal point of any room.

The Morpho didius is one of the largest of its family with a wingspan of up to 6".
