Though closely related to the Cobalt Swallowtail (opposite), the
Lime Gloss Swallowtail is part of an elite tribe of butterflies called “Peacock” or “Gloss” Swallowtails; each possessing part or all of
a peacock feather “eye” somewhere on the hindwing.

This species is fairly common throughout many of the Indonesian islands, while entirely absent in others. It is widely captive-bred. Wingspan is 4" to 4½" .
